(Technician's Guide to the 68HC11 Microcontroller)
With the THRSim11 program you can edit, assemble, simulate and debug programs for the 68HC11 on your windows PC. You can also use THRSim11 to debug the program on your target EVM or EVB compatable board. The simulator simulates the CPU, ROM, RAM, and all memory mapped I/O ports. It also simulates the on board peripherals
Motorola 68HC11 Schematic. The Motorola MC68HC11 has a 48-pin dual in-line package (DIP). The standard monitor for the HC11 family is called BUFFALO, "Bit User Fast Friendly Aid to Logical Operation." It can be stored in on-chip ROM, EPROM, or external memory (also typically EPROM).
The 68HC11 (6811 or HC11 for short) is an 8-bit microcontroller (µC) family introduced by Motorola in 1984. 68HC11 devices are used in automotive applications, barcode readers, hotel card key writers, amateur robotics, and various other embedded systems.
The same semester I took Microprocessors, I was also taking a class called Circuit Analysis. These classes complimented one another very well. I used breadboards and elvis boards on a daily basis. It helped not only understanding the schematic, but also the components of the board with functionality regarding the IC pin layout.
